Room Mate Bruno
Wilhelminakade 52 | Let's start with arranging a place to sleep! How about a night at Bruno's? This modern design hotel has a luxurious look, but feels very homely because of the colorful design and the attention to detail. In addition to different types of rooms, this hotel is fully equipped with a bar, fitness rooms, meeting rooms and saunas.
Wilheminakade 699 | You will not easily find a place to drink or have a bite with a better Rotterdam vibe than this. Café Rotterdam offers you a spectacular view over the Maas with a view on the Erasmus Bridge.
Antoine Platekade 983 | Looking for an instagrammable spot for lunch, coffee, drinks or dinner? By Ami is the most instapretty hotspot you will find on the Kop van Zuid. So sit down in the pastel pink and blue interior and have delicious cocktail or colorful matcha latte with a view over the water.
Wilhelminakade 332 | For your dose of culture, you can visit the Fotomuseum on the Wilhelminapier. With changing exhibitions and a collection of thousands of photographs, there are always beautiful exhibitions to admire at the Fotomuseum.
De Matroos en het Meisje
Delistraat 52 | The Deliplein is bursting with great restaurants. How about De Matroos en het Meisje? Here you eat in an old Dutch decor, just like in the old days at home, 'wat de pot schaft' (you eat what they serve).
Ceviche y Maas
Delistraat 2 | This hotspot can be found at the Deliplein as well and is one of the few spots in Rotterdam where Peruvian food is served. Perfect for an evening of dining with delicious bites, such as the traditional Peruvian ceviche the restaurant is named after.
3e Katendrechtsehoofd 25 | You will get a perfect taste of the harbor city Rotterdam when sleeping on a boat, so how about staying on the ss Rotterdam? You can also visit the ship for a tour, delicious dinner at Lido or to relax at the pool on the front deck.
Fenix Food Factory
Veerlaan 19D | One of the most popular places on the Kop van Zuid by far is the Fenix Food Factory. I love to get a Rotterdam beer at De Kaapse Brouwers, have some snacks from Master Tanger or go earlier in the day to Jordy's Bakery for a nice lunch. In the summer you sit outside in the sun next to the water!
Hotel New York
Koninginnenhoofd 1 | The iconic Hotel New York was already shining at the head of the Wilhelminapier before this became a hotspot walhalla. The hotel is the perfect place to sleep for your weekend 'op Zuid', but I would also recommend you to pay a visit to the bar in the basement, the restaurant (with great high tea!) and in the summer the nice terrace.
Wilhelminakade 137 | Did you not yet have enough choice stress for your place to sleep? Then I would like to mention hotel nhow in the prize-winning icon De Rotterdam as well. Here you have rooms with a view of the Maas and iconic Erasmus Bridge! The bar is also a lovely place for a drink (cocktail!), also if you do are not staying in the nhow hotel.
Kate urban market & café
Sumatraweg 13b | Do you want a breakfast, lunch or coffee break? Go to Kate at the Deliplein for classic dishes with a unique twist in a casual atmosphere. If you want to bring some souvenir home with you, you can shop some original products the small supermarket here as well.
Delistraat 20 | This may not be the most instagrammable spot on the Kop van Zuid, but the food is more than amazing. Matching wines with every course and your evening is complete! There is not much place in the small restaurant and it is very popular, so do not forget to reserve your table for the night.
Delistraat 44A-46C | For the lovers of Thai food, a visit to Deli Bird must be on the weekend program. This is one of the favorites of many a Rotterdam people! Deli bird is always full, so do not forget to reserve a spot in advance.
Wilhelminakade 58 | The Foodhallen opened in 2018 to offer a delicious food walhalla. Get your drinks at the bar and pay a visit to all stands to taste the tastiest burgers, street food, Asian cuisine, oysters and so on. Make sure you take the whole night for your visit to the Foodhallen to give everything a try!
Dutch Pinball Museum
Paul Nijghkade 19-K | Are you in for some more cultural entertainment after your visit to the Fotomuseum? Go to the Dutch Pinball Museum next to the Fenix Food Factory. The museum has around hundred pinball machines waiting for you to collect some childhood memories. Oh, and you do not have to resist the urge to play a game right away!
