This is our story

What started in 2015 as a simple Instagram page sharing our favourite hotspots has grown into a curated city guide platform featuring handpicked locations, unique stays and local gems across the Netherlands — both online and in print.

By 2016, we knew it was time to expand. To keep up with our followers’ interest, we launched our website, htspt.co, a digital platform that housed a growing database of Rotterdam’s best hotspots. From cosy cafés to hidden cultural gems, it became a go-to resource for locals and travellers alike.

We launched our first printed city guide in 2019, followed by expanded editions in 2022 and 2024. Now, in 2025, we’re working on our fourth Rotterdam guide and our very first one for The Hague. We’ve also added Utrecht to the mix, and every spot we feature has been personally visited, photographed, and carefully chosen for its vibe, story, and aesthetic.

Beyond our guides, we collaborate with small businesses to create photography and content that shows their space at its best – we help locations stand out through both imagery and storytelling.
