Breakfast, but make it cinematic. By Jarmusch East Rotterdam channels classic American diner vibes with an all-day breakfast menu, bottomless coffee (because one cup is never enough) and a nod to filmmaker Jim Jarmusch’s Coffee and Cigarettes.
Nestled in Het Industriegebouw, a creative hub packed with start-ups, freelancers and good energy, this food joint blends retro charm with Rotterdam’s industrial edge. And the design? Think burgundy booths, a 20-meter counter straight out of a movie scene and an impressive mural by Bier & Brood that celebrates the ‘endless coffee refills’ culture immortalised in Jarmusch’s films.
The menu is intentionally simple but hits all the right spots. Eggs-any- way-you-like, açai bowls, maple-drizzled pancakes and hearty breakfast sandwiches bring that American diner feel, while fresh filter coffee flows non-stop. The team, dressed in vintage-inspired uniforms, adds to the nostalgic charm, making each visit feel like a throwback in the best way possible.
Whether you’re posted up at the counter, stretched out in a booth or soaking up the sun in the courtyard, this is the kind of place where one coffee turns into three — and honestly, we’re not mad about it.
