Inspired by Hokusai’s The Great Wave and tucked away on Rotterdam’s Kop van Zuid, Dinnerant brings Japanese fine dining with a modern twist.

At the helm is Chef Yuki Azuma, whose journey from Chiba to London, and now Rotterdam, lives on in every dish. Start with refined bites like wagyu gnocchi, smoked salmon tiradito or crispy white fish rolls. Then dive deeper: red snapper katsu, sardine nanban zuke or miso-marinated Black Angus beef grilled to perfection over Japanese charcoal. It’s layered, elegant and deeply satisfying, just like the space itself.

Hospitality here is guided by the spirit of omotenashi — the Japanese art of genuine care, where every guest is met with thoughtful attention and a quiet sense of harmony. The drinks list is equally refined, from Japanese highballs to curated cocktails and food-paired wines. And for a sweet finale? You’ll want to save room for yuzu-passion cheesecake, chocolate ginger cake or red chili panna cotta!
