Ter Marsch & Co
Locals love it. Tourists seek it out. And award juries? They keep handing over the trophies.
Since 2014, Ter Marsch & Co Rotterdam has been flipping some of the best burgers in town. It all started at their iconic spot on the Witte de Withstraat, the original home of this boutique burger joint turned nationwide favourite.
Housed in a former 19th-century butcher shop, the vibe is bold and full of character. Exposed brick, a cosy mezzanine and an open kitchen downstairs bring just the right mix of grit and charm. It’s loud in the best way — think sizzle, clink and the buzz of people who know exactly what they came for. And the burgers? Let’s just say they don’t mess around. La Fiesta de Carne, voted Best Burger in the Netherlands 2024, is a Spanish Black Angus stunner layered with bold, savoury flavours. Or go for The Gojira, two award-winning steam bun sliders with dry-aged ribeye, Wagyu and a Korean-style combo that’s downright addictive. Throw in their golden fries (once crowned the best in the Netherlands), dry-aged steaks and generous sides, and it’s easy to see why this place is such a hit. The bar doesn’t disappoint either, serving up craft beers, curated wines and cocktails that match the energy.
People come from all over for a bite, but it’s the locals who made Ter Marsch & Co Rotterdam what it is today: a true Rotterdam classic!
